Transforming the Humble Out of Office

Recently I’ve had my Out of Office (OOO) on and for good reason!  In July I took a break and in August I’ve been facilitating leadership programmes in Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch.  What I’ve noticed is that many clients and participants have been replying to my OOO thanking me for my clarity (always) and my humour (sometimes).
The OOO is a great way to:
  • Provide context
  • Manage expectations
  • Amplify what’s important to you
  • Have a bit of fun
Here’s my current one…

Kia ora e hoa,

Thank you for your email!

August is one of my favourite months of the year.  In August 1979, I
became a big sister and a middle child all in one day.  That was HUGE
for me!  And so are the next few weeks with regards to doing the work
I love to do with leaders.

From Monday 25 July to Thursday 1 September, I’ll be out of my inbox
and facilitating most days.  As always, I like to be right there and
present with the people I’m in front of so I will be checking my
emails at the start and end of each day during this time.

Your email is important to me, however, my response may be slightly delayed.

If you need to chat with super-duper urgency then please text me on
xxx and I’ll get in touch as soon as I can.

Thank you for your patience with my response.

Ngā mihi nui,
Milena
